*UPDATE* Jan 16, 2008 -An email from a “reliable source” “The canon 5d Mark II will indeed be released at PMA. But it may not sport the 5d name tag.I’ve actually seen the camera and it is amazing, a good alternative to the 1Ds and a wow of an upgrade to the 5D with better noise and a faster frame rate. So sit tight.” There you have it. Hopefully this source is correct and we will see this camera in a few weeks. Of course we probably wont be able to buy it for 4 months.
The Canon 5D Mark II is rumored to include the following specs:
- 16MP DIGIC III
- 14 bit RAW
- sRAW format
- 3? LCD
- Live View
- Refined AF (similar to 40D)
- Semi Weather Sealing
- 4-5 FPS
