Photoshop hoax strikes campaign trail

Boy, this is sure embarrassing. A newspaper in Memphis accidentally posted a Photoshop-manipulated photo of state Rep. Stacey Campfield holding a bumper sticker with the legend “Confederate Values”. Turns out the photo was taken from a blog that had just put the image together as a joke.However, it wasn’t a joke for the alt-weekly Memphis Flyer, and what was even more embarrassing was that the Knoxville News Sentinel ran the real photo that had him holding up the bumper sticker that said “Tax ‘n’ Spend”

Ouch.
