Canon’s biggest lens ever

If that 500mm lens that looks like a German WWII artillery battery isn’t quite cutting it for you than you might want to check out the special-order 1200mm f/5.6L EF USM Autofocus Lens for $99,000… second hand.

Gadget Lab found these mammoths of photography tools, and you can read the original post here.

The things weight 36 pounds (don’t let them hang off your camera body) and measures a yard long. Here’s more information…

This is Canon’s 1200mm f/5.6L EF USM Autofocus Lens. Canon has been making them since 1993, on a special order only basis, and if you want one you’ll have to wait around a year and half for Canon to build it for you. Unless you’re quick, and head over to B&H, where you’ll find a second hand one for just $99,000.

All I can say is…. damn.
