The toughest point-and-shoot camera in the world
You wont have to worry about dropping this camera, it can take it.
The Olympus 1030 SW features an outer shell that is waterproof, crushproof and freezeproof. This little tank can take up to 220 pounds of pressure, endure a plunge of six feet in water and still features 29 different picture modes.
Here’s the lowdown on this 10-megapixel camera from the New York Times:
“The camera, which will go on sale next month for $400, weighs six ounces and comes in silver, black and green. It has a 3.6x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch L.C.D. screen, along with 29 picture modes like “cuisine” for food and “behind glass” for items that are, well, behind glass. The in-camera panorama feature lets you take multiple pictures of a scene and stitch them together to make one long shot, without using a computer.”
So if you’ve broken more cameras than Kenny Rogers, you may want to look into this.
