Starting your own photojournal

Starting your own photojournal

If you like photography as a hobby and would like to improve your skills, you might want to start a photojournal that allows you to reflect on what pictures you’ve taken and what shots you’d really like to get.

I would get a notebook, any sort of notebook that you can find at the local convenience store or something, and just putting in little entries after you’ve gone out shooting.

Write about what you shot, what you thought about the shot, how you could improve it and your reflections on the experience as a whole.

It you do get a picture that you really enjoy put it in the photojournal, that way you can always look back on some of your favorite captures.

Why do all this, you ask? As a photographer you should always be looking to improve but also looking from where you came from. If you can see that your work is getting continually better than you’re on the right track. The only way to really do that is by saving your photos and having a helpful marker mechanism such as a photojournal.

Plus, it could be a nice coffee table accessory if you want to wow the neighbors with your photo skills.

So get writing!
