Want to become a photographer? Be prepared for the strange and funny world of this profession.

1. You’ll get free food during halftime of your workday.

2. Grown men you don’t even know have 30 minute conversations on lens length and focus.

3. Your job performance rests solely on a dude bouncing a ball.

4. You’ll obsess about how light hits the side of someone’s face.

5. You’ll spend most of your life five feet from famous people and athletes, and may never have a conversation with them.

6. You’ll try and justify spending thousands of dollars on an object that’s smaller than a microwave.

7. Your life completely revolves around how long the batteries last.

8. On the job injuries happen out of bounds and usually involve a person much larger than you.

9. You’ll say the word “nice light” roughly 300,000,000 times in your lifetime.

10. You’ll wear lots and lots of fanny packs.
