A look at the Canon Digital Ixus 900 Ti

Posted on 17 March 2008 by Brandon

The Canon Digital Ixus 900 Ti seems like a tough cookie, so what are people saying about it?

It’s a tough little camera, and judging from the internet community, it can take some photos too.

PC Authority has given it their seal of approval…

Apart from this, the 900 Ti does more or less everything right. It’s small yet tough, so you can carry it everywhere with you, and it uses standard SD cards and a standard mini-USB cable for total convenience. If you want a longer zoom, you might find the Sony DSC-T100 more approachable, but if you value versatility and portability the Ixus 900 Ti is a winner.

Price range for the Camera should be about $450, which seems like quite a deal for someone looking for a point-and-shoot that wont let them down.

Photography Blog does like the Ixus 900 Ti, but thinks its lacking a few features.

Overall operation of the Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti is as expected – namely fast, accurate and reliable, just about all you could wish for from a compact with a fairly average zoom range and, perhaps because of this, no optical or mechanical image stabilization, which, in truth, is the only area in which it feels like there’s something missing. Otherwise it appears as smooth a customer as its titanium bodywork would suggest.
