Nikon updates D3 Firmware

The Nikon flagship camera is getting a firmware upgrade.

Gadget Lab has the skinny:

Nikon’s flagship camera and object of desire for flash-phobic photographers everywhere has received a few fixes and new features in a firmware update.

The “big” additions are focus point brightness control (you can choose how bright the squares are in the viewfinder), lens vignetting control (which will automatically compensate for light drop-off at the image edges, tailored to the lens you are using), and the auto ISO function now lets you select shutter speeds as high as 1/4000 sec as the minimum.

Gadget Lab has the link to both the firmware updates and more details.
