Olympus SP-560UZ Reviewed

Whats the deal on this suped-up camera?

The Mercury News have a review posted online for the Olympus SP-560UZ and their general reaction is good, but not that great. Here’s the conclusion.

 Olympus SP-560UZ

Rating: 6.6 out of 10, good.

The good: Superlong, yet wide lens; manual exposure controls; good body design; supports wireless flash.

The bad: Softness and noise hurt picture quality; middling performance.

The bottom line: Olympus’ 8-megapixel ultra zoom generally improves over the SP-550UZ, but suffers from many of the same problems.

These type of cameras are generally good if you’re a dedicated picture-taker that needs a little bit more than your average point and shoot. This would be a decent choice, but there are better choices out there.

Head on over to the Mercury News for the full review.
