Pentax A40 Reviewed

12 megapixels equals one powerful point-and-shoot.

The Star Online has a review on Pentax’s quality compact camera. They seem to be pretty impressed:

The Pentax Optio A40 is a good lightweight compact camera with decent photo and video capture capabilities.

It comes with many of the common features found in other cameras and it performed well overall.

Bumping up the resolution to 12 megapixels resulted in photos that are clearer and with vibrant colours although it didn’t significantly enhance picture quality.

Coupled with a good user interface, the A40 is a reliable camera you can count on for taking great shots.

Pros: Lightweight design; good autofocus; records decent videos.

Cons: Autofocus slows down under dim lighting; clunky menu system.
