Nikon D3 buffer memory upgrade available

Nikon announced this week an optional buffer memory improvement for the D3 that’ll pretty much double the number of shots you can fire off continuously on most settings (from 17 to 35 on TIFF, from 52 to 119 on large JPEG, etc.).

The service is available now and will run you $500 plus tax and, according to some reports, takes a minimum of two weeks to get done. Owners of the $5,000 DSLR are advised to contact a local service center for details.
