Link of the day: Video of water balloon striking at 1000 fps

Check out this footage of a water balloon hitting a guy at 1000 frames per second. While we don’t know which camera this was shot with, that does happen to be the top filming speed of Casio’s newest high-speed camera.

Good to know that consumer cameras like the Casio EXILIM EX-FH20 have advanced enough to allow us to do these kinds of things at home. The applications are nearly limitless for this newly accessible technology: Half-empty soda bottles, whole sacks of tomatoes or entire bowls of cereal are just a few other things on an enormous list of items you could throw at your friends’ faces while filming at 1000 fps.
