Link of the Day: Download Vincent Laforet’s HD video shot with the Canon 5D Mark II

The full, hi-res version of Laforet’s short film “Reverie,” which was shot entirely with pre-production models of the Canon 5D Mark II is available on Canon’s Web site.

Visit the Canon Digital Learning Center here to view a higher-res version of the entire film compressed a bit for the web. You can also download three uncompressed clips, but be patient–they’re between 57 and 82 megabytes each.

If you end up shooting any footage with the 5D Mark II yourselves when the camera becomes available to the public, please let us know!

Canon can’t afford the extra hosting costs based on the demand for their new camera? That doesn’t make sense to me.

We were really excited about the project and what Vincent had actually accomplished. Impressed so much so that we were able to coordinate a podcast interview with Vincent and also get a Q&A session to boot.

    Very interesting!!
