New food photography contest offers impressive prizes
Here’s a contest with an incredibly robust set of prizes: Lou Manna, who we interviewed in November, is hosting the “Best Looking Food of 2009,” and the winning shot will be used as the subject for the cover for Manna’s upcoming book, “More Digital Food Photography.” Additionally, the winner gets an Olympus DSLR kit, a Calumet lighting kit, dinner for two and free admission to one of Lou’s workshops in New York.
Contestants have until February 16th to submit their photos. Here’s one important catch: The winning shot won’t be selected based on photographic quality, but on the innovation, presentation of the food, and overall concept behind the shot.
