Link of the day: UK site reunites lost photos with subjects

This one is interesting–someone in the UK has been collecting photos found around the country there and posting them online in the hopes that the subjects will be able to reclaim the images.

The conundrum of the lost snapshot has of course been growing steadily scarce as the world has transitioned to digital photography, making the Web site, www.isthisyou.co.uk, both an interesting project and something of a blast from the past.

They’re also collecting handwritten notes and posting excerpts online. How long, do you guess, could it be before those are almost completely a thing of the past as well?
